The formation of lime stones is the result of constant deposition of shells, bones and other calcium rich goods at the bottom of lakes and seas. Lime stones are mainly composed of minerals like calcite (CaCO3).

The grains in form of shells, bones and other go on accumulating on some dead and buried organic matter or fossils. With the passage of thousands and millions of years the constant accumulation causes the intense pressure and thus initiates some chemical reaction between the sediments molecules which lead to their conversion into Lime stones.

High calcium limestone is that which consists of more than 95 percent of calcium carbonate.

Limestone which has been processed takes good polish and is used in decoration and building purposes. When magnesium replaces a little part of calcium content then it is called magnesium limestone or dolomite limestone. Common people misunderstand lime stones taking polish as marbles but the presence of shells or the structure being not crystalline is considered as lime stones and not otherwise.

Limestone is used excessively for various construction purposes; its tiles are utilized in flooring, building fireplaces as well as countertops. Limestone fireplace is growing to be more and more popular home fire surrounds. White limestone and Black limestone are among its most common forms, owing to its durability and unique beauty limestone tile is becoming a preferred choice for flooring.

Edges : Both surface natural, One surface natural and one surface calibrated will be available in hand cut and machine cut edges, where as One surface natural and one surface polished/honed, one surface calibrated and one surface polished will be available in only machine cut edges.

Tiles : 300x300, 300x400, 400x400, 500x500 400x600, 600x300, 600x600 & other tailor made sizes.

Thickness : Both surface Natural finish will be in 20mm to 50mm with a tolerance of ±5mm.

One surface natural and one surface polished / honed & one surface natural and one surface calibrated will be available in 20 mm to 40 mm with a tolerance of ±3mm One surface calibrated and one surface polished will be available in 10 mm to 15 mm with a tolerance of ±1 mm
